Most round beds are soft plush, and a dog who digs and circles before lying down can wreck one in a few weeks. The Round Armor is built the other way around: a round cushion bed covered in 1680-denier ballistic nylon, the heavy, tightly woven fabric used on tough luggage and tool bags.
American Dog is a small Denver, Colorado company that mostly makes dog toys, and it makes this bed in the USA. The filling, a blend of shredded memory foam and other foam, sits in a zippered liner, and the outer cover zips off for the wash. American Dog says it uses upcycled foam, which keeps it out of landfills.

It's a firm, sturdy cushion rather than a fluffy one. American Dog lists the diameter of each size but not the height, so if thickness matters (in a crate, say), ask us before you order. The fabric holds up to scratching and digging far better than plush, but no fabric bed is chew-proof: if your dog starts working on a seam, take the bed away, because the shredded foam inside isn't safe to swallow. If your dog has already taken apart a fluffy bed or two, this is the round bed we'd try next.
