Fergie's face does the selling: two big white eyes perched on top of her head, a wide stitched grin, and a blue-green belly dotted with white polka dots, on bright green corduroy. Green is easy to find in a pile of brown and gray toys, and a frog is a cheerful change from the usual bears and bunnies. She's a fun pick for a dog who loves a good squeak-and-shake, and a sweet present for someone's new puppy.

Fergie is plush, and plush has limits: she's built for fetch, carrying, and friendly tug-of-war, and a dog who picks toys apart seam by seam will get the better of her. Stay within earshot while she's out, since a loose squeaker or tuft of fill is a swallowing risk, and put her away for good when a seam gives. Little dogs fit the Small; medium and bigger dogs need the Large.
