When reaching all the way down to the floor at mealtime starts to look like work, a few inches can help. The Berjen Table holds two stainless steel bowls in a reclaimed-wood stand, so food and water sit about 7 to 8 inches up instead of at paw level. It's a modest lift rather than a tall stand, and the white wash finish looks at home in a kitchen or mudroom.

  • Two sizes. Small: about 17 x 7.7 in and 7.3 in tall, with two 6.5 in bowls that hold about 4 cups each. Large: about 21.3 x 10.3 in and 8.2 in tall, with two 8.5 in bowls that hold about 6.5 cups each
  • Reclaimed wood in a distressed white wash, so grain, knots, and color vary a little from stand to stand
  • The stainless bowls lift out for washing
  • Weighs about 4.4 lb (Small) or 7 lb (Large)
  • From Huntley Pet, the pet line of Huntley Equestrian in Amelia Island, Florida

Huntley doesn't give a dog-size range, so measure before you pick: with your dog standing, the bowl rim should sit around the bottom of the chest, so they can eat without stretching up or craning down. Raised bowls are a comfort choice and aren't right for every dog. If you have a deep-chested large or giant breed, ask your vet whether a raised feeder suits them. The stand is wood, so it isn't for a dog who chews furniture.

Fill both bowls, set it where your dog likes to eat, and let mealtime be a little easier.
