Every dog needs an everyday collar for tags and quick trips out the door, and this is a good plain one. It's black cowhide with a padded lining and rounded, hand-finished edges, so it sits comfortably on the neck. A nickel-plated buckle closes it, and a ring at the center holds the leash and tags.

Measure around your dog's neck where the collar sits and choose the closest length; you should be able to slide two fingers underneath. The leather is stiff at first and softens with wear. Check the length when it arrives, and take any collar off in the crate and during rough play with other dogs, where it can snag.
