A rolled collar is round instead of flat, so it sits in a thick coat rather than pressing a flat band into it. That makes it a favorite for long-coated dogs, whose neck fur tends to flatten and tangle under a regular collar. This one is dark brown leather (Jeffers calls the color chestnut) with solid brass hardware, and it only looks better as it's worn in.

Sizing is simple: measure your dog's neck and buy that number, so a 21" neck takes the 21" collar, fastened on the center hole. Two fingers should slide underneath. Because a rolled collar is narrow, it's best for ID tags and easygoing walks; for a dog who pulls hard, clip the leash to a harness instead. Take it off in the crate and during rough play with other dogs.
