Picked for a moment every dog owner knows: a wiggly dog and a buckle you can't line up. Up Dog's buckles use magnets to pull the two halves together, and then a mechanical latch locks them, so they click shut with one hand. You release them with a pull tab.

It's a padded harness with two leash points, a front clip for dogs who pull and a back clip for easy walks, plus a grab handle on top and reflective trim. Up Dog is a small family-run company.

  • Small: dogs about 15 to 30 lb (neck 14 to 18", ribs 22 to 26")
  • Medium: dogs about 30 to 55 lb
  • Large: dogs about 55 to 90+ lb (ribs 33 to 43")
  • Front and back leash clips, top handle, reflective trim

Measure around the widest part of your dog's ribcage, just behind the front legs, and go by that rather than weight alone. If your dog lands right at the edge of a size, get in touch before you order. The buckles are plastic, so check that each one clicks fully shut before every walk.

Care

Hand wash in cool water with mild soap and air dry.
Before each walk, check that both buckles click fully shut, and replace the harness if a buckle stops latching firmly.
